Doing our bit to help mother nature is overwhelming. In fact, it makes us want to bury our heads in the Simpson Desert. Only, we’re not ostriches. So, we’re going to do our best to become a sustainable cycling brand. Aim to get better. And leave out the marketing hoopla.

We can’t do it on our own, though.

So, we’re inviting all Muzes to join us on the road to a cleaner, greener spandex future.

Clothing that’s built to last

While seasons come and go, Muze clothing doesn’t. Our philosophy is simple: better quality means longer life, which equals less waste. So, saddle up in your Muze gear. It’s made to withstand changes in seasons, weather, riding conditions and wash cycles. Just make sure you treat it right.

Lower impact fabrics

Some people associate lower impact materials with lower quality. Not so at Muze. You can still hit all the high notes in style and performance, and give nature a helping hand with our cycling range. We use recycled fabrics, as well as earth-friendly dyes and finishing processes that are Oeko-Tex or Blue-Sign certified on all our core fabrics (that means they have been tested for harmful substances). Mindful manufacturing

How we make our clothes matters as much as what we make. Like us, our manufacturing buddies dream of (fresh coffee and pastries) and a greener, fairer fashion world. Whether they use energy-efficient practices or ensure happy workplaces, we partner with those who are doing good in the world.

Packaging with purpose

While we’d love to cycle across the country, hand delivering Muze packages to you, that’s just silly. Instead, we use minimal packaging that can either be recycled, or composted [link to composting instructions] with your fruit and veg. Not part of your 5 a day.

Muze is a community of likeminded women. And communities rely on honesty. We’ll be open about our materials and manufacturing practices, even when we’ve stuffed up. And tell you if we can see your thong through your bib shorts. It takes trust and understanding to create real change.

Going circular

We’re on a mission to close the loop on fashion waste.

That means making sure your well-loved Muze gear gets a well-deserved second life. Whether it’s recycled into swimwear or repurposed as a hacky sack, the aim is to keep our materials out of early retirement (and landfill) as long as possible.

HOW TO

compost and recycle our packaging

When you order one or all 😉 of our Muze cycling pieces, it’ll arrive in a compostable postage satchel and garment bag. Before you do a thing, put those garments on and take them for a spin. The world needs to see your fabulous!

OK, now you can get back to saving the planet.

Compost our postage satchels and garment bags

Cut along the line of the consumer satchel flap to reuse the bag, if you can, using the second adhesive (glue) strip included.
Once you’ve rinsed the last use out of the satchel and garment bags, remove any labels and pop those in the recycling bin.
Cut up the postage satchel and add this your home compost bin (not the recycling bins). Or, if you have one, the green council bin.
If you don’t have a compost bin, go to Share Waste and find a neighbour willing to take your trash.
Once composted, the HEROPACKs will break down and turn into…dramatic drum roll… fertiliser for the garden. This takes around 3-4 months.
